The Fair Tax Monitor is expanding and multiple countries have been added to the project. Since the pilot edition (2016) that included Bangladesh, Pakistan, Uganda and Senegal, we have been working on new country reports from Nigeria, Vietnam and OPT (2018). New research is underway, and in the year 2019/2020 we expect to have assessed the national tax systems of Mali, Egypt, Tunisia, Zambia, Cambodia and Brazil as well.
During the lifecycle of the FTM we have made multiple improvements to the common research framework (download here FTM CRF 2019 ), as well as to the scoring methodology (download here 2019 FTM Scoring Methodology). If you want to know more about how we developed and improved our methodology, you can visit our methodology development page here.
