The Global Alliance for Tax Justice is urging a special day of global campaigning against abusive practices of the extractive industry on November 19th, 2019. In a context of increasing tax evasion, continuous abuse of human rights and damaging of the environment in which they operate in by large companies extracting coal, oil, gas or minerals, the Alliance is encouraging civil society to rise and take action to speak out against these critical issues. There are many ways to participate in the campaign, including circulating the GATJ's call to action and/or information on unjust tax practices in the extractive industry, organizing educational sessions and webinars, or calling out directly these companies for their activity.
