GATJ and our partners including Bretton Woods Project, Christian Aid and Tax Justice Network have put together a session event at the Civil Society Policy Forum. The event will take place on Friday, April 12, from 2:00– 3:30 PM at Location| 2-250. Come join us and find out how to challenge the IFIS’ role in shaping the new tax landscape, from a feminist perspective.
Moderator:
Our very own Executive Coordinator, Dereje Alemayehu will moderate the session dubbed “Taxes, taxes, taxes: shifting the IFI narrative to progressive gender-just taxation.”
The Speakers will include:

- Amanda Mukwashi - Chief Executive Officer, Christian Aid
- Soren Ambrose - Policy Advisor, Action Aid

Finance Uncovered and Free Press Unlimited organize a five-day Introduction to Investigating Illicit Finance training AND Information Security workshop as part of the Money Trail project. Money Trail, a collaboration between Finance Uncovered, Free Press Unlimited, Oxfam Novib and Journalismfund.eu, offers trainings for journalists and CSO activists and awards grants to (teams of) journalists to develop stories on illicit finance.
LOCATION: Abuja
DATE: Monday 1 July to Friday 5 July

The two-day training aims to build research and advocacy capacity of participants on corporate tax and illicit financial flows. The methodology will be interactive and tailored towards the needs of Civil Society Organizations and individual activists to strengthen their advocacy and research work on illicit financial flows.
